Barrels are a very important component of Cider production here at Naughton Cider Company. They have been used for centuries in both Cider and wine production throughout the world but their use in modern production is limited, mainly due to cost.

With our links to the world of Champagne, our focus has been to acquire the very finest of barrels from the region to impart a delicate flavour profile that works in harmony with that of the apple.

We work with several different sizes of barrel depending on the apple variety (each apple variety being vinfied separately), from 114 litre up to 1000 litre.
